Et les passionnés de K-Pop se comptent par milliers en Algérie, essentiellement des jeunes, qui ont découvert ces toutes dernières années la musique coréenne avec le célèbre groupe BTS. Avec la Semaine coréenne, les Algériens auront à découvrir les autres facettes de la culture de ce pays.
En outre, l’ambassade de la République de Corée offre l’occasion en invitant SE : UM à se produire au Palais de la Culture. «Le groupe SE : UM est une équipe de musiciens appartenant à la société ‘Fabrique de culture SE: UM’ fondée en 2011 autour de son représentant M. YOO SEWOOM». «Ce groupe musical, selon le service culturel de l’ambassade, a été à la base formé dans une vision de recherche musicale d’un nouveau genre artistique mais néanmoins à travers d’exaltantes fusions et expérimentations puisées de l’art traditionnel». «L’empreinte musicale de SE : UM, précise la même source, se reconnaît à travers la fusion de sons et effets spéciaux des matières qui sont le résultat d’une combinaison entre la musique classique coréenne et le jazz. Le courant SE : UM va au-delà de la simple fusion musicale, il traduit une expérience sensorielle unique».
