ALGÉRIE/ POLITIQUE : La Journée de l’étudiant célébrée dans un contexte de mobilisation pour soutenir le mouvement populaire
La célébration annuelle de la Journée nationale de l’étudiant, en écho à l’événement du 19 mai 1956, intervient cette année dans un contexte particulier.
L’Algérie connait depuis le 22 février 2019 un mouvement populaire révolutionnaire dont les étudiants constituent un des fers de lance, en vue de faire tomber le système.
C’est dans ce contexte que des centaines d’étudiants des différentes facultés d’Alger sont sortis ce matin pour se donner rendez-vous sur le parvis de la Grande poste, quartier général des manifestants.
« Nous sommes des étudiants algériens », ce champ révolutionnaire, entonné pendant la révolution par les étudiants qui avaient alors jugé qu’ « avec un diplôme, on ne fera pas un meilleur cadavre ».
Brandissant le drapeau algérien, les étudiants ont réitéré les slogans du mouvement populaire, comme « Djazair Horra Démocratia », « Djazaïr Djoumhouria leyssa Thakana », «On a dit irouhou gaâ, Irouhou gaâ »
Des manifestations similaires sont organisées dans d’autres villes universitaires du pays avec des étudiants décidés à se réapproprier leur journée, jusque-là squattée par le pouvoir et ses organisations syndicales.
