MONDE/ POLITIQUE : ARABIE SAOUDITE : Trois prédicateurs modérés seront exécutés après Ramadhan
Trois prédicateurs et érudits saoudiens célèbres dans tout le monde musulmans, et connus pour leurs discours modérés et incarcérés pour de multiples accusations de «terrorisme», seront condamnés à mort et exécutés peu après le Ramadan. C’est ce que rapporte Miuddle East Eye citant «deux sources gouvernementales et un des proche» de ces hommes.
Il s’agit du cheikh Salman al-Ouda, un érudit de renommée internationale, réputé pour ses opinions relativement progressistes dans le monde islamique, notamment sur la charia et l’homosexualité, Awad al-Qarni, un prédicateur sunnite, et Ali al-OImari un téléprédicateur très connu.
Salman al- Ouda a été arrêté en septembre 2017, peu de temps après avoir tweeté une prière pour la réconciliation entre l’Arabie saoudite et son voisin du Golfe, le Qatar, trois mois après l’instauration du blocus par Riyad contre l’émirat. Les deux autres personnes qui doivent être exécutées, ont aussi été arrêtées en septembre 2017.
Deux sources du gouvernement saoudien ont séparément confirmé le projet d’exécution des trois hommes, qui attendent actuellement d’être jugés par le tribunal pénal spécial de Riyad. Une audience avait été fixée au 1er mai, avant d’être reportée sine die.
« Ils n’attendront pas longtemps pour exécuter ces hommes une fois que la peine de mort aura été prononcée », assure une source à MEE.
Selon une deuxième source gouvernementale saoudienne, l’exécution, en avril, de 37 Saoudiens, principalement des activistes chiites, également accusés de « terrorisme », avait été utilisée comme un ballon d’essai pour évaluer l’ampleur de la condamnation internationale.
Pas étonnant pour ce royaume moyenâgeux qui a choqué le monde par l’horrible assassinat du journaliste Jamel Khashoggi dans son consulat à Istanbul avant de dissoudre son corps dans l’acide.
