ALGÉRIE/ CULTURE : Inauguration de l’exposition « Deuxième Guerre Mondiale : Ukraine-Algerie
Le 27 mai 2019 l’Ambassade d’Ukraine en Algérie conjointement avec les Archives Nationales d’Algérie a tenu l’inauguration solennelle de l’exposition documentaire « Deuxième Guerre Mondiale : Ukraine-Algérie ». Lors de l’inauguration le discours a été prononcé par le Directeur Général des Archives Nationales M. Abdelmadjid Chikhi, l’Ambassadeur d’Ukraine en Algérie S.E.M. Maksym Subkh et l’attaché de Défense naval et de l’air de l’Ambassade d’Ukraine, lieutenant-colonel Roman Muzychenko.
Les représentants des institutions officielles d’Algérie, les membres du corps diplomatique et les représentants de la communauté ukrainienne ont participé à cet évènement.
L’exposition est ouverte au public jusqu’au 10 juin 2019 dans la salle d’expositions des Archives Nationales d’Algérie.
La partie ukrainienne de cette exposition représente la dimension ukrainienne de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale ; à commencer par le 1ier septembre 1939, quand les Ukrainiens faisant partie de l’armée polonaise ont commencé à se battre contre les agresseurs de Hitler et jusqu’aux derniers coups de feu à l’Extrême-Orient dans la guerre contre le Japon. Le centre de l’exposition est tout d’abord consacré à l’Ukraine et au rôle des Ukrainiens dans la guerre mondiale. Et plus particulièrement, à la contribution du peuple ukrainien à la victoire sur le nazisme dans tous les secteurs: de l’Atlantique à l’océan Pacifique.
Pour l’Ukraine cette guerre est devenue une autre épreuve tragique et douloureuse. L’Ukraine a payé le prix le plus élevé pour sa Victoire. Au cours de la Deuxième Guerre Mondiale les ukrainiens ont perdu plus de ressources humaines que la Grande Bretagne, le Canada, les États-Unis et la France tous ensemble. La perte totale de l’Ukraine dans la Deuxième Guerre Mondiale est estimée à 8-10 millions de vies.
Au cours de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale, les Ukrainiens se sont transformés en chair à canon pour deux dictateurs, notamment Hitler et Staline. À la suite de la collision des deux régimes totalitaires, des pertes sans précédent ont été enregistrées tant parmi les militaires que parmi la population civile de l’Ukraine. Tel était le prix des Ukrainiens pour l’absence de leur propre État indépendant à l’époque.
La reconnaissance de la contribution des Ukrainiens à la victoire sur le nazisme a été l’inclusion de l’Ukraine parmi les membres fondateurs de l’Organisation des Nations Unies.
Le 8-9 mai l’Ukraine commémore traditionnellement la Journée de la mémoire et de la réconciliation et le Jour de la Victoire sur le nazisme dans la Deuxième Guerre Mondiale. Par la tenue de la présente exposition l’Ukraine aimerait exprimer son respect à tous les combattants contre le nazisme et de perpétuer le souvenir des soldats péris, des victimes de guerre, des crimes de guerre, des déportations et des crimes contre l’humanité qui ont été commis aux cours de ces années.
