ALGÉRIE/ POLITIQUE : Affaire Mazouz : Saisie de 44 milliards alloués à la campagne de Bouteflika
La justice touche désormais aux fonds alloués à la campagne électorale du président démissionnaire Abdelaziz Bouteflika. Dans le cadre de l’enquête ciblant le Groupe Mazouz et sa filiale de montage automobile Eurl GM Trade, une énorme somme a été découverte. Celle-ci était allouée à la campagne électorale pour un 5e mandat de Bouteflika.
Les enquêteurs de la Gendarmerie nationale ont, en effet, découvert 44 milliards de centimes (440 millions de dinars) qui étaient alloués par des hommes d’affaires afin de financer la campagne électorale de Bouteflika qui briguait un 5e mandat. Une partie de cet argent était cachée dans un compte bancaire, tandis que l’autre partie, en liquide, a été saisie et remise aux autorités judiciaires, a-t-on appris de source sûre.
Le compte bancaire ouvert spécialement pour le financement de la campagne électorale a été ainsi gelé, en attendant la décision finale de la justice. Les sommes ont été versées par plusieurs oligarques qui tiraient leur influence de leur proximité du cercle présidentiel.
Pour rappel, le juge d’instruction près le tribunal de Sidi M’hamed a placé en détention provisoire 9 personnes dans l’affaire du Groupe Mazouz. Il s’agit d’Ahmed Mazouz, patron du Groupe, le fils d’Abdelmalek Sellal (son associé), deux cadres du ministère de l’Industrie, deux gérants de sociétés privées ainsi que le chargé des transactions financières de la campagne électorale. L’épouse d’Ahmed Mazouz et le gérant de GM Trade ont été, quant à eux, placés sous contrôle judiciaire.
