Le décret présidentiel fixant les noms et les chefs-lieux des wilayas nouvellement créées, ainsi que leur numérotation, a été publié dans le dernier numéro du Journal officiel après avoir été signé par le président de la République, M. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Le décret présidentiel stipule que “les dispositions de l’article 1er du décret 84-79 du 3 avril 1984 fixant les noms et les chefs-lieux des wilayas, sont complétées par les noms et les chefs-lieux des wilayas créées par la loi 19-12 du 11 décembre 2019 modifiant et complétant la loi 84-09 du 4 février 1984, modifiée et complétée, relative à l’organisation territoriale du pays, comme suit :
– 49 : wilaya de Timimoun avec chef-lieu à Timimoun.
– 50: wilaya de Bordj Badji Mokhtar avec chef-lieu à Bordj Badji Mokhtar.
– 51: wilaya de Ouled Djellal avec chef-lieu à Ouled Djellal.
– 52 : wilaya de Béni Abbès avec chef-lieu à Béni Abbès.
– 53 : wilaya de In Salah avec chef-lieu à In Salah.
– 54 : wilaya de In Guezzam avec chef-lieu à In Guezzam.
– 55 : wilaya de Touggourt avec chef-lieu à Touggourt.
– 56 : wilaya de Djanet avec chef-lieu à Djanet.
– 57 : wilaya d’El M’Ghaier avec chef-lieu à El M’Ghaier.
– 58 : wilaya d’El Meniaa avec chef-lieu à El Meniaa.
