La troisième édition du festival international du court-métrage Imadghassen s’est ouverte mercredi soir au théâtre régional Salah-Lombarkia de Batna en présence d’un public nombreux.
Le directeur du développement des arts et des lettres au ministère de la Culture et des Arts, Meziane Chedad, qui a donné le coup d’envoi de cette manifestation en tant que représentant de la ministre du secteur, a salué le festival Imadghassen qui enregistre de plus en plus de succès d’une édition à l’autre consolidant la scène culturelle locale et nationale.
Le commissaire de la manifestation, Issam Taachit, a affirmé de son côté que le festival œuvre à promouvoir, développer et encourager l’activité cinématographique et la créativité dans ce genre cinématographique répandu dans les milieux des jeunes notamment.
L’ouverture du festival qui se poursuivra au 14 mai s’est déroulée en présence, outre du wali de Batna Mohamed Benmalek, de plusieurs figures artistiques nationales dont Hicham Mesbah, Sarah Laalama, Mohamed Reghiss ainsi que des invités de plusieurs pays dont Shoukran Mortaja de Syrie et Saoussen Redjemi de Tunisie, entre autres.
La cérémonie d’ouverture du festival organisée par la coopérative culturelle “El-Lemssa” a notamment présenté les 22 films participants d’Egypte, de Palestine, de Syrie, de Russie et d’Algérie ainsi que les membres du jury.
Plusieurs figures de l’art et de la culture ont été honorées à l’occasion.
Les courts-métrages en lice durant le festival seront projetés à la cinémathèque de Batna tandis que ceux participant en hors compétition seront projetés à la salle de la maison de la culture Mohamed Laïd Al Khalifa. Des conférences et des sorties touristiques au profit des participants sont programmées durant la manifestation.
