ALGÉRIE/SOCIÉTÉ: Tizi Ouzou : Une centaine de départs de feu depuis dimanche
Le massif forestier de la wilaya de Tizi Ouzou est en proie aux flammes depuis plusieurs jours. D’importants incendies sont signalés quotidiennement. Mardi, deux hélicoptères bombardiers d’eau de l’unité aérienne de la Protection civile ont été mobilisés, en plus d’importants moyens, comme l’unité mobile de Tizi Ouzou, afin de maîtriser un grand incendie s’étant déclaré le même jour à Thala Guilef, en plein cœur du Parc national du Djurdjura (PND).
Une trentaine d’hectares de forêts sont partis en fumée dans cette partie de la commune de Boghni, à une quarantaine de kilomètres au sud-ouest de la wilaya. Cinquante autres incendies ont été déplorés durant la même journée à travers une vingtaine de communes de la wilaya où 130 ha de forêt, broussailles et maquis ont brûlé. Plus de 1500 arbres fruitiers ont été détruits, rapportait hier matin un communiqué de la Protection civile relatif à la situation des incendies.
Les communes les plus touchées sont notamment celles de Tizi Ouzou, Ouadhias, Tigzirt, Beni Aïssi, Beni Douala, Boghni, Illilten, Yakouren, Tirmitine, Aït Toudert et Aït Yahia. Dans la daïra de Bouzeguène, plusieurs habitations ont été menacées par les flammes, apprend-on de sources locales. Elles ont été épargnées grâce aux efforts des éléments de la Protection civile conjugués à ceux de la conservation des forêts et de la population locale. «51 départs de feu ont été enregistrés par nos services durant la journée du 23 juillet, dont 18 importants. Ils ont tous été éteints», a ajouté la même source.
La hausse des températures qui sévit depuis plusieurs jours fait craindre le pire et la population redoute la reproduction du scénario vécu en 2017, où les flammes ont dévoré des centaines d’hectares et une dizaine de maisons ont brûlé dans plusieurs localités. L’Assemblée populaire de la wilaya de Tizi Ouzou a annoncé avant-hier l’installation d’une cellule de crise pour le suivi de la situation des incendies à travers les différentes communes.
